I am also not sure on what the process is to install Zopim....do I need to"manually" change the code in the shop to have some extra code or does the installation do that for me.

 

I tried to add the "script" using your free HTML module but it "broke" the shop...

 

Thanks for your help as I would really like to get the Zopim chat working.

you don't have to use any code,

install module, open module configuration page,

create zopim account, 

 

and copy widget id to module configuration field.

new version of zopim chat module released! module supports prestashop 1.7 now.

I added improvements to module code to support PS 1.7. It was tested with PrestaShop 1.7 alpha release and works fine. This means that module will work with all upcomin releases of 1.7 version of this brilliant e-commerce engine :-)

- added fixes to customer firstname and lastname detection, Before, if customer name contained single quote - module generated js errors. Now everything is fixed :-)
