Is the code included in the loaded core page, or does it load the content of the pop up only after clicking the popup opening button ?
Firstly it is worth to mention that module allows to display popup in 3 ways:
- when customer access to selected page
- when customer try to exit the page (feature called 'on exit popup')
- when customer will click on the button
Each type of popup workflow is the same, contents are not loaded with page view, but asynchronously (dynamically) only when appearance of popup is initialized.
So, in case of "button" to spawn popup - popup is not loaded before clicking on button - module loads popup after clicking on the opening button.
In this way, i mean we can put content in the pop up useful for SEO, that we don’t necessarily want to display at first sight on the page ? the content of the pop up is read by google robots , or ignored ?
Contents of popup are ignored by google because these contents are not included to page - popups are loaded dynamically, asynchronouslly with javascript.
Also, i want to use the pop up in category description, all good ?
If you mean that you want to add there a link / button to spawn popup i confirm that it is possible. You can add a button to spawn it in rich text editor while you will edit category description (on category edit page).
