Owing to CGI Rating API, the Magento 1.x and Magento 2.x merchants have witnessed changes and an error that says UPS shipping method is currently unavailable.
This is due to the change that took place on January 06, 2019 that UPS will now onwards only support the secure connections and not the HTTP connections.
The solution is to switch to UPS XML API. However, there is a quick fix that does not require switching to XML.
