#15072 Need Your Help

Posted by matthewforrest on 16 May 2017 - 12:23 PM in Magento general discussions

Hello again! I have catalog pages.

These pages have URLs that are of different looks. And these pages with these URLs are indexed by search mechanisms.

How to make these pages redirect to the relevant ones due to customers’ requirements?

#15040 Magento vs Shopify

Posted by matthewforrest on 15 May 2017 - 03:36 PM in Magento general discussions

Hello!

Magento or any other Cms. It seems to me that is's an eternal question.

Let’s make a brief comparison:

· Shopify is a paid, while Magento is free to use.

· Magento requires your own hosting with following installation, setting up and configuration. It costs some efforts. Shopify is a hosted solution.

· As for inventory management please be aware that Shopify restricts the number of store items, while Magento has no such limits.

·  Magento enables discount codes to create,Shopify doesn't provide such services to apply.

· Shopify offers 70 payment gateways, while Magento is considerably limited.

· Magento provides more themes for free than Shopify offers. By the way paid the themes’ price in Magento starts at $1.

I think there is no sence to continue this list further. I've emphasised just what I think essential. What other features may you enumerate usinf your own experience and preferances?

#14928 Why Do We Like Abandoned Cart Having?

Posted by matthewforrest on 02 May 2017 - 12:02 PM in Magento general discussions

How to avoid abandoned carts in ecommerce practice? This question is of the type of questions that we call ‘eternal’. There are no vendors who completely prevent from this unpleasant phenomena appears. But no shopping means here money is being lost and this is more than simply serious. It’s not news but there are still vendors who don’t test the Abandoned Cart extension and I can’t name any reason why they prefer to have abandoned carts rather than apply the corresponding extension? For me the Abandoned Cart extension be Aheadworks is what I recommend to decide on. And moreover they have other good tools for ecommerce: https://awmagento.wordpress.com/ .
