im using modules with overrides. if i update my shop, for example to prestashop 1.6.1 or other future releases

my overrides will work well?

it's hard to say right now.

everything depends on improvements that prestashop team will provide to the core.

if they will change something in overrided by your module  classess/ controllers and change will be major - there is a possibility that it will not work.

 

before update to higher prestashop version, you have to check these controllers and your override and compare changes.

otherwise you can crash website in that way.
