i tried to remove id numbers from links to products and categories.

so i logged to my back office and go to preferences > seo & urls

there is a form to decide how the links will look like

 

i removed {id} from patterns available there

but after that - my website product pages and category pages are totally white, i see 404 errors etc.

 

how to remove these id numbers properly?

the answer is pretty clean urls module

this is prestashop addon (supports prestashop 1.5, 1.6 and each new release) that will remove id numbers from selected pages easily.

you can enable / disable this feature for selected types of pages
