Can't view shopping cart using latest version of Firefox or Chrome

Hi guys,

 

I can add products to the shopping cart (Prestashop 1.6.0.9) but cannot view the shopping cart by clicking it. The drop down list is not displayed. The only way I can see the products in the hopping cart is if I checkout.

 

I believe this is something to do with the latest versions of Firefox/Chrome no longer supporting Java.

 

Is there a way to fix this?
